Samsung’s trifold gets a name and ‘confirmed’ specs

Renowned gadget leaker Evan Blass spoke to X with “some confirmed details” about Samsung’s upcoming tri-fold phone.
It will be called the “Galaxy Z TriFold,” according to Blass, with a 6.5-inch cover screen that reaches a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. It unfolds to produce a 10-inch interior display capable of reaching a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. The Galaxy Z TriFold is also expected to house a 200-megapixel primary camera, a 5,437mAh battery, and a Snapdragon SoC under the hood.
The thicknesses of the three panels vary from 3.9 mm to 4.0 mm to 4.2 mm, according to Blass. This results in a phone that could be as thin as 12.1mm when folded, or a little thinner than Huawei’s triple 12.8mm.
But nothing will be officially official until Samsung announces it. Rumors about the company’s first triple have come one after another, with the latest suggesting a December 5 launch in Korea, priced around $3,000.
