Black Friday monitor deals: What to expect and early sales

Prepare your wallet and your stomach, at least if you live in the United States. Turkey Day is approaching, and with it the annual smorgasbord of consumerism that is Black Friday. This is your best chance to find instructor deals before the holidays, and there are plenty of them floating around already.
We’ve vetted all the deals below for accuracy, value, and, you know, if they’re actually worth getting in the first place. (We have decades of experience reviewing monitors, so we know our deal.) Since deals often come and go as promotions expire or stock runs out, we’ll also regularly update our deal selections to make sure they’re fresh.
Here in no particular order a very specific and carefully considered order, are the best monitor deals you will find before Black Friday. Cheers!
the first Black Friday standard monitor deals
- ARZOPA 14-inch 1080p USB-C Portable Monitor, now $66.49 (5% off at Amazon)
- Acer 27-inch 1080p IPS 120 Hz Monitor, Refurbished, now $58.35 (61% off eBay)
- Dell 27-inch QHD IPS USB-C Monitor, now $199.99 (18% off on Amazon)
- LG 32 inch 4K VA Monitor, VA Monitor, now $199.99 (33% off at Amazon)
- Samsung 43-inch 4K Smart USB-C Monitor, now $379.99 (25% off at Amazon)
My first choice: If you don’t care about gaming beeps, there’s no faster way to add utility to your laptop than with a travel-friendly USB-C monitor like the Arzopa portable monitor. The deal on this white label product can’t be beat – I’ve spent more than that on a hotel breakfast, and it wasn’t as good.
If you need to go further, especially if you want a display that can handle more than just a desktop, check out Samsung’s 4K offering. This device excels at handling video from multiple sources and works well with laptops thanks to a 65-watt USB-C port. But it doesn’t need anything: it has its own streaming apps and a remote control in the box, so it doubles as a smart TV.
Best early Black Friday gaming monitor deals
- Refurbished Acer 27-inch 1440p 180Hz IPS Gaming Monitor now $101.00 (66% off eBay)
- Refurbished Acer 34-inch 1440p 180Hz Gaming Monitor now $154.69 (19% off eBay)
- Refurbished LG 32-inch 1440p 180Hz Curved Gaming Monitor now $189.00 (12% off at Walmart)
- Alienware 24.5 inch 1080p IPS 360Hz Gaming Monitor, now $249.99 (28% off at Best Buy)
- MSI 27-inch 4K IPS 288Hz Gaming Monitor, now $269.97 (12% off at Newegg)
My first choice: If you’re looking for gaming speed above all else, this Alienware monitor is the way to go. With a 360Hz refresh rate, it’s ready to take on the most intense online shooters, even at a relatively low size and resolution. For a good mix of size, speed, and resolution, I’d go with the Acer 34-inch ultrawide. The MSI 27-inch has it all, including 4K resolution and superior IPS colors… but it’s a little small.
Best Black Friday OLED monitor deals
- AOC 27 inch OLED 1440p 240 Hz Gaming Monitor, now $449.99 (21% off at Amazon)
- LG 27 inch OLED 1440p 280 Hz LCD monitor, now $549.99 (35% off at Amazon)
- Samsung 34-inch Ultra-Wide 1440p 240Hz OLED Gaming Monitor, now $679.73 (51% off at Amazon)
- Acer 39-inch OLED Ultra-Wide 1440p 240Hz Gaming Monitor, now $699.99 (42% off at B&H Photo)
- MSI OLED Ultrawide 49-inch 1440p 240Hz Gaming Monitor, now $999.99 (17% off at Amazon)
My first choice: If you want the ultimate in gaming prowess and gorgeous visuals, only OLED will do. This 27-inch AOC is about as cheap as any new monitor we’ve seen this year, and it’s faster than anything you might have found in a similar range before. But for the best value, I’d upgrade to the Acer 39-inch model. It offers extra space compared to a 34-inch ultrawide without pushing more pixels.

FAQs
When is Black Friday 2025?
Black Friday takes place on Friday November 28. If you consider yourself an avid bargain hunter, we suggest going online early in the morning to take advantage of the best deals. Offers tend to change and expire at a rapid pace.
When is Cyber Monday 2025?
Cyber Monday will take place on Monday, December 1st. To get the best deals, we recommend logging in at midnight, as stock tends to run out quite quickly.
What other Black Friday retailers should I check out?
Amazon is going to have a ton of awesome deals. It’s a given. However, for monitors, you should definitely check out the retail pages of HP, Dell, and Lenovo. Personally, I most often find myself speaking directly to the manufacturers. You can also cast a wider net and target other online retailers like Best Buy and Newegg.
What should I look for in a monitor?
Let’s talk about refresh rate first, which is especially important if you’re looking for a gaming monitor. Refresh rate is how quickly a monitor can redraw the image on its screen. The faster the refresh rate, the smoother your visuals will be. Most desktop monitors perform well at the standard 60Hz frequency, although you’ll notice smoothness improvements at higher speeds. For competitive first-person shooter games, we recommend 120 Hz as the minimum frequency. Anything higher is good enough for the esports field.
Resolution is another important feature to consider. Just like with refresh rate, the higher the number, the better. We are talking about image and video quality here. 1080p is the bare minimum for most monitors. However, if you are a video editor, increasing the resolution up to 4K makes a huge difference, as it allows you to see more details.
The last thing is the screen size. 27 inches is the most common size and a good size for a home office. For gaming monitors, 24 or 27 inches are best. Sometimes a larger screen causes eye strain and if you’re going to be looking at it for hours, it’s best to go for a slightly smaller screen. For 4K monitors, 32-inch is a good option, as it gives you a large amount of screen to work with.
Where can I find the highest rated instructors?

During Black Friday, many of our top picks may be on sale, so don’t limit your shopping to just the deals we’ve covered above.
