BELLEAIR, Fla. – Kai Trump shot a 13-over 83 Thursday in her LPGA Tour debut at The Annika, leaving President Donald Trump’s granddaughter last among the 108 players.

In windy afternoon conditions at Pelican Golf Club, the high school senior bogeyed the first four holes and finished the round birdie-free with nine bogeys and two double bogeys.

“I was definitely more nervous than I expected, but I thought I made a lot of good shots,” she said. “I hit a lot of good shots in bad places.”

The University of Miami recruit is playing on a sponsor exemption.

“It was pretty cool because I know I got far, but playing with the best players in the world and literally being there or even outperforming on some holes, it was pretty good,” said Trump, the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. “I felt like my game was in a good place, especially being only a senior in high school.”

Haeran Ryu led the tournament with a score of 64-under, also playing in the afternoon.
