CAIR Caught Handing Out $1,000 Checks to Campus Antisemites – RedState

If you’ve ever wondered how the hordes of anti-Semites who invaded college campuses in the months after October 7 could afford to be full-time haters and agitators, we have the answer for you: A radical Muslim group was writing them $1,000 checks. What radical Muslim group was doing this, you ask? The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), of course.

An explosive new report from the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI) and the Intelligent Advocacy Network (IAN) confirms that CAIR, and specifically its California chapter, was cutting checks to students who risked sanctions or disciplinary consequences for their pro-Hamas “activism” on campus.

Who knew being a marauding hate monger paid so well? It turns out, not surprisingly, that progressive Californians have opened their wallets to help the men and women who have turned college campuses into violent and chaotic minefields of anti-Semitism.
The money was allocated from a “Champions of Justice Fund,” set up by the California chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as “institutional support,” the report states.
In California, the largest branch of CAIR’s network of nonprofits, affiliates in San Francisco and Los Angeles raised more than $100,000 in donations for campus radicals, while the main group solicited $64,000 in donations, records show.
As is often the case, the devil is in the details. The money was offered in the form of “interest-free loans in the form of $1,000 grants to students” who, according to the CAIR website, lost “scholarships, housing or other support because of their advocacy.” In other words, these were rewards distributed under the guise of loans and grants – the money was never intended to be repaid.
In October 2024, CAIR-CA awarded $20,000 in loans and scholarships to 20 student protesters from the “Champions of Justice Fund”.
The identities of the student recipients were never revealed, but the institutions they attended were listed in CAIR literature and included Columbia University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Harvard.
What CAIR calls “advocacy,” the rest of us call brutality. And while we don’t know the names of those who benefited from CAIR’s largesse, we know the chaos, fear, and intimidation they sowed on college campuses.

CAIR has been in the news lately. They caused a stir last month when a British journalist they brought to the United States for a national speaking tour was arrested and deported by Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) authorities after it was discovered that he had a habit of making inflammatory anti-Israel comments. It turned out their man had visited the London mosque shortly after October 7 and urged worshipers to “celebrate victory”.
And on Tuesday, as RedState’s Mike Miller reported, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) designated CAIR a foreign terrorist organization. This label is entirely justified, judging by the group’s history and this new revelation that the masked radicals chanting the Intifada and threatening Jewish students on college campuses were its subsidized foot soldiers.
Editor’s note: Democratic politicians and their radical supporters will do everything they can to interfere with and threaten ICE agents who enforce our immigration laws.
