I’ve tested all the latest Samsung Galaxy phones and I say skip the Galaxy S25 – the real Black Friday choice is between the Edge and Ultra

If you’ve been disappointed by the Samsung Galaxy S25 deals so far during the Black Friday deals shopping season, maybe another S25 model will give you a better discount!

I’ve tested all the latest Galaxy S25 phones, from the powerful base model to the new Galaxy S25 Edge to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, one of my favorite camera phones of all time.

All phones in the Galaxy S25 family proved to be excellent mobile computers in my testing, with the incredibly powerful and battery-efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset for Galaxy running the show. Based on my weeks of real-world use of these phones, I can attest that you won’t find faster, more feature-rich phones, and they’re perfect for pro users and gamers.

The Galaxy S25 is now on sale for $674.99, down from its average price of around $715 and it only costs £599 in the UK, down from an average of around £785. That’s not the lowest price I’ve seen, by far: the Galaxy S25 is as low as $574.99 on Amazon. This is still a very good price, so if you need a phone right now, don’t hesitate to get one. However, it might be wise to wait.

The Galaxy S25 Edge could be the best deal of all

Yes, even the Galaxy S25 Edge, the much-maligned new slim Galaxy phone, which may be the best deal you can find on a Galaxy right now. The S25 Edge costs just $819.99 on Amazon, which is close to its average but well below its launch price of $1,099.99. In the UK, the Galaxy S25 hit a record price of £749, compared to the average of £965.

In my testing, the Galaxy S25 Edge was a powerful phone with excellent cooling, making it an ideal choice for gamers, if you don’t mind plugging it in a little more often.

There is still time before the peak of the shopping season, so we may benefit from additional discounts. Samsung usually launches its next model in January, but we’ve heard the schedule could be pushed back this year, so it’s possible this phone could get another discount in January as the shelves clear out to make way for the Galaxy S26.

The biggest discount among the Galaxy S25 family is unfortunately attached to the Galaxy S25 Ultra. From such a high price, there is still room to go down.

In the UK, the Galaxy S25 Ultra can be yours for just £999, an all-time low price.

In the US, the Galaxy S25 Ultra with 512GB of storage is currently just $1,019.99 on Amazon. That’s an all-time low price for the Ultra with the storage increase, and it’s $150 less than the average US price on Amazon. Every Galaxy is on sale, but this is the best deal of the bunch.
