Earlier this year, my local grocery store started charging $3 per avocado. Yet even as tariffs and inflation wreak havoc on consumer technology, one product category seems immune: flat-screen televisions.
A few years ago, I would have been happy to find a good 65-inch TV for less than $500 during Black Friday, but now you can find massive TVs for much less all year round. As companies get better at making ultra-thin displays, smart TVs are becoming more and more affordable. Still, even by those standards, this door-to-door TV deal from Best Buy caught my eye.

While it’s in stock, you can purchase the TCL 55-inch F35 Series 4K UHD HDR Smart Fire LED TV for just $169.99, a nearly 50% discount from its retail price of $329.99. You won’t find this TV for sale on Amazon, making it a Best Buy exclusive as far as I can tell. This is one of Best Buy’s official TV deals, and if you need a new TV at an affordable price, this one will be hard to beat.
We’ve been closely tracking the best Black Friday TV deals, from the $99.99 Amazon Fire TV 2 Series to the high-end LG C5 OLED TV. (Unfortunately, we’re still waiting for the latter to get a Black Friday price drop.) Like I said, you won’t find a better price on a 55-inch TV before the holidays.

Now, let’s be clear about what you’re getting. This is definitely a budget TV, so you’ll have to live without QLED or Mini LED screens. You’ll also have to compromise a bit on audio quality (unless you invest in a soundbar to go with it). Gamers will also have to make do with a 60Hz refresh rate. However, aside from these compromises, you’re still getting a solid smart TV.
This is a 2025 TV model that comes with Fire TV OS. That means it’s a smart TV that’s fully capable of running all your favorite streaming apps, from Amazon to HBO Max.
