The Best Black Friday Pod Coffee Maker Deals, According to a Daily User (2025)

Pod coffee makers are controversial, but I like them. I’m a big fan of getting caffeine into my system as quickly as possible upon waking up. While I can understand the ritual and ceremony behind making a fancy cappuccino or brewing a perfect espresso, my morning self just can’t be bothered. If you also believe in the power of the pod, there are tons of deals on pod coffee makers for Black Friday.

WIRED Featured Offers:
Bruvi BV-01 brewing kit for $198 ($150 off)
The Bruvi BV-01 is my favorite pod coffee maker. It’s cute as a button, with clean, simple lines and an aesthetic design that should match any kitchen decor. I like the large touchscreen interface and the built-in trash can. My favorite part, though, is that the proprietary B-Pods are biodegradable and designed to break down in a landfill. I don’t have to worry about specialized recycling or sending the pods somewhere to be processed. And yes, the resulting drink is also good, whether it is coffee, tea or “espresso”. (Sale price with coupon.)
Ninja DualBrew Pro for $150 ($90 off)
Sometimes one pod will do the trick, and sometimes you need a whole cup of coffee. Rather than sacrificing double the counter space, consider the Ninja DualBrew Pro. This pod coffee maker can be used with the K-Cups or coffee grounds you provide, and in addition to brewing individual cups of coffee, you can also make whole carafes. There’s a built-in milk frother, but you’ll need to warm the milk separately, and you can also brew it directly over ice if you prefer your coffee cold. Although the machine is rather large, I like that you can reposition the water tank to fit your countertop more effectively.
Keurig K-Café Single-Serve Smart Coffee Maker for $150 ($50 off)
This is the pod coffee maker I reach for most often. My whole family loves it, thanks in part to the built-in milk cooker that can warm and whip milk for specialty drinks like lattes. I can brew my coffee almost black, and my little sister can brew her frothy, syrupy stuff, without any specialized tools or time spent brewing anything. It’s easy to use, with built-in controls that let you choose a capacity and strength, and a large reservoir that you won’t need to refill often. The brewer will intelligently identify compatible K-Cups and suggest recipes in the optional app, but I personally found the app quite annoying. Fortunately, there’s no need to get the most out of this machine.
Nespresso Vertuo Pop+ with Aeroccino Milk Frother for $129 ($50 off)
Technically, Nespresso coffee makers do not reach pressure levels high enough to brew real espresso. But the many varieties of espresso pods result in an espresso-like drink, with more bite and body than drip coffee. There are also pods for plain old coffee, and I liked them both. Personally, I don’t like flavored beers, but my co-testers were fans of Nespresso’s almond, caramel, and mocha Vertuo varieties. I think this pod coffee machine could be more user-friendly – it took me a second to figure out how to insert a pod – but I like that the capsules are recyclable and that the machine collects its own waste. This deal comes with an Aeroccino milk frother that can help you elevate your morning beverage of choice. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the rainbow of color options for this machine, most of which are on sale for Black Friday.
