Trump Fumes Over NYT Story Documenting His Rapid Physical Decline

President Trump was thrown into a social truth rage after The New York Times reported on which appears to be a significant drop in his energy compared to his first term, as he attends fewer events and starts them much later.
As the report points out, the official schedule for the presidential call database shows that during his first term, Trump arrived at scheduled events at 10:31 a.m. on average. Now it starts about 90 minutes later, at 12:08 p.m. From January 20 to November 25, during his first term, Trump held 1,688 official events. This quarter, that number is 1,029 at the same point, a decrease of 39 percent. His days still end around 5 p.m., as during his first term.
THE Times also noted Trump’s speech apparent dizzinesshis classic ramblings and his existential reflections on death.
That report allowed the president to release early Wednesday morning, nearly a full five hours before his scheduled event usually arrives.
“The people at the bankrupt New York Times are at it again… I’ve settled 8 wars, I’ve made 48 new stock market highs, our economy is great and our country is STILL RESPECTED all over the world, respected like never before. The last administration had the highest inflation in history – I’ve already brought that back to normal and prices, including groceries, are going down,” Trump wrote. “Doing this takes a lot of work and energy, and I’ve never worked so hard in my life. Yet despite all this, the Radical Left Lunatics of the soon-to-be-defunct New York Times published a hit article on me saying I may be wasting my energy, despite the facts showing the exact opposite.”
These “facts” are a bit obscure.
In 2020, Mr. Trump weighed six feet three inches, 244 pounds-a frame that was once classified as obese. In 2025, his doctor, Dr. Sean P. Barbabella, took him down 224 pounds, still overweight. Trump would also like red meat, McDonald’s and candy.
“President Trump demonstrates excellent cognitive and physical health and is fully suited to serve as commander in chief and head of state. » Barbabella said in April.
Others note that while he seems to be up and running at these Oval Office events and appearances, we really have no idea what happens afterward, nor what happens when he goes to his golf clubs each weekend.
“[Trump’s aides] show it as effective,” former White House physician Dr. Jeffrey Kuhlman told the Times, “But every time he’s in the Oval Office, he’s sedentary.”
While Kuhlman thinks it’s “commendable” that Trump uses the stairs of Air Force One, “it’s unclear what he does as soon as he walks through the door.”
Political historian Matthew Dallek compared how the Trump and Biden teams presented their health.
“The people around him look like Biden aides,” he said. “They would talk as if we were living in a somewhat fantastical world. Trump, in this way, with the help of his aides and his doctors, [has] created this fiction about his health to hide the cold, hard truth that he is 79 years old and one of the oldest people to ever occupy the Oval Office.
It must be recognized that Trump has made more international trips than during his first term. And even at a lower rate, he is still (a little) more active and alert than President Biden was. Considering his constant engagement with the media and his near-prolific social media posts, Trump may be – for better or worse – the most accessible president of the century. But we don’t know how long this can last.
“They know it is false, like almost everything they write about me, including the election results, ALL FOR NEGATIVE AIM. This cheap ‘RAG’ is truly an ‘ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE’. The author of the story, Katie Rogers, who is responsible for writing only bad things about me, is a third-rate journalist who is ugly, both inside and out,” Trump continued in his reaction message. “Despite all this I have the highest numbers ever in polls, and with record investments being made in America, they are only expected to increase. There will be a day when I run out of energy, it happens to everyone, but with a PERFECT PHYSICAL EXAM AND COMPREHENSIVE COGNITIVE TEST (“It passed”) JUST RECENTLY PASSED, it’s definitely not now! GOD BLESS AMERICA AND MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”
