Landman season 2 episode 3 proves Angela is the best character in the show – but filming one of her famous blowouts makes Ali Larter ‘exhausted’

Of course, Landman Season 2 Episode 3 is mostly about Cami (Demi Moore) learning how the problems her late husband, Monty (Jon Hamm), got his business into, with Tommy (Billy Bob Thornton) practically falling apart at the seams trying to fix the mess.

“It’s so exhausting for me,” Larter says. “At the end of the day, I’m like, ‘Please give me a beer.’ …but I love Taylor’s [Sheridan] in writing it, and in those early episodes, I think he saw that the audience was really responding to those scenes too.
“That’s what Angela does for her family and this relationship. What’s going to happen is she’s going to do her best, and then Tommy will do something to provoke her, and then she’s going to explode. But as we continue to grow with them, you see that they’re really wondering, if they don’t love each other, who are they? And that’s where we’re going this season.
She continues: “What is reality? Is this really possible? Will we heal our family? Can we raise these children? And what happens when Ainsley (Michelle Randolph) goes off to college and Angela collapses? Does Tommy have the ability to be there for her, like when she’s suffering?”
These are excellent questions, but we are probably still far from getting concrete answers. We have seven episodes left of Landman Season 2, and it’s not going to be smooth sailing for such a fiery relationship.
If Angela gets her dream house in Fort Worth, everything could work out. But until then, I can’t wait to see how she outdoes herself in Episode 4 and beyond.
