Charlie Kirk Show Breaks Silence To Address Candace Owens’ Conspiracy Theories

“The Charlie Kirk Show” producer Blake Neff blasted podcaster Candace Owens on Wednesday for claiming that Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder Charlie Kirk was “betrayed” by high-ranking members of the conservative student group, saying TPUSA would provide a detailed response to her claims via live broadcast.
Authorities arrested Tyler Robinson, 22, early on the morning of September 12, accusing him of killing Kirk during a TPUSA event at Utah Valley University. Owens posted on (RELATED: ‘Holy Shit!’: Podcaster Appalled as Charlie Kirk’s Security Chief Reads Texts He Allegedly Sent to University Police)
“For the past two and a half months, there has been a topic that has flooded our freedom inbox, that has been non-stop on social media, but that we have almost completely avoided on this show,” Neff said. “You probably already know what I’m talking about, which shows how pervasive this is. Since Charlie’s murder, Candace Owens has made a barrage of allegations against the people at Turning Point USA, the people at Turning Point Action, and the people who work for this show. She’s made them against some of Charlie’s closest friends and against some of his most dedicated employees.”
After listing a number of Owens’ allegations, including those of financial improprieties, Neff responded.

“Candace effectively blamed everyone here, making herself complicit in Charlie’s death by repeatedly saying he was ‘betrayed by everyone.’ She said Charlie’s murder “had to be approved by Charlie’s friends,” then suggested those friends might also have her murdered because “they knew the truth,” Neff said. “She made allegations of financial irregularities and fraud at Turning Point, totaling millions of dollars, which, again, is not true. Charlie ensured that the organization was audited by a third party every year. He personally reviewed and signed every expense report and literally every invoice paid by the organization down to a single US dollar.”
After listing other allegations, Neff said Owens’ allegations led to harassment worse than that of the people who celebrated Kirk’s assassination.
“What our friends had to endure is not funny, and it’s not trivial. It’s wrong. I’ve seen it. For months, we received hundreds, thousands, I guess, of emails and calls asking us to respond. People wanted us to have Candace on the show, but for a long time our approach was to say nothing. We did it for several reasons,” Neff said. “First, we thought his prevarications were so absurd that no one would believe them. We shouldn’t have to answer questions about secret tunnels or Egyptian Air Force planes. This sort of thing is simply despicable.”
“The second reason we’ve talked about it so little, though, is that there is a good rule of thumb, which Charlie followed. Don’t feed the trolls. Focus on the mission: to revive America, to lift up the young, to make heaven populated, not to give air to the people who want to tear you down and sow discord,” Neff said. “Finally, we didn’t respond because Charlie always considered Candace a friend, and we were hoping she would return that friendship and stop what she’s doing, but in a week it will be three months since Charlie’s murder. Candace hasn’t changed her behavior.” (RELATED: Parents confront crying school board member who compared Turning Point USA to the KKK during loud meeting)
Neff said TPUSA would host a livestream to address the allegations and invited Owens to participate. Owens responded to TPUSA’s statement during Wednesday’s episode of his podcast.
“I’m not a troll,” Owens said. “OK? I’m not a troll. I’m not a troll, I’m not someone who hated Turning Point and wanted Turning Point to fail. I’m actually the exact opposite of that, and that’s why people believe in me and trust me, because they feel like I’m the only one doing the right thing in the situation.”
“Who wouldn’t want every stone left unturned if they cared about someone? » asked Owens. “Who wouldn’t want to have every question answered? »
TPUSA did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation, nor did it announce the date and time of the live broadcast.
