We’ve Uncovered Hundreds of Thousands of Dead People on Voter Rolls – RedState
When attorney Harmeet Dhillon was announced as Donald Trump’s choice to lead the DOJ’s civil rights division in December 2024, we knew he chose someone who wouldn’t come to Washington to have fun. And since her confirmation in April, the former chairwoman of the California RNC and founder of the Dhillon Law Group, as well as the Center for American Liberty, has been very busy indeed.
On Friday, the deputy attorney general announced that her team had discovered serious anomalies in voter rolls across the country – there were hundreds of thousands of them.
According to Dhillon, federal investigators have identified 260,000 deceased people still registered to vote across the country, as well as thousands of registered non-citizens.
In a Friday X article, she said the ministry’s review had already resulted in major action.
Fourteen states have been sued for failing to comply with federal transparency requirements, while four others have voluntarily turned over voter data and begun cleanup efforts.

The DOJ sued North Carolina and North Carolina is complying. They have lawsuits against 14 other states, including California.
This will be one of the most significant actions by President Trump’s DOJ.

Dhillon laid out the DOJ’s efforts in his video:
Here are some facts and figures for you. Over the past eight months, the DOJ has contacted all 50 states, asking them to share their voter rolls with us so we can help them comply with the Help America Vote Act, which requires states to maintain clean voter rolls. Four states complied voluntarily. We filed a lawsuit against North Carolina early on, and they are auditing the voter rolls of 100,000 voters who were not properly registered to vote, and they are going to resolve their problem voluntarily.
Naturally, California is as usual obnoxious:
We now have 15 lawsuits pending against 14 states. That’s right, California has been sued twice and we are in litigation with them. They refuse to provide their records, even though many of these states voluntarily provide their voter rolls to nonprofit groups…
Then she moved on to the really worrying numbers:
We therefore work with nearly 30 states; here’s what we’ve found so far. We verified 47.5 million voter records. We found over 260,000 dead registered voters in the state, which is quite concerning… And finally, several thousand non-citizens are registered to vote in federal elections. This is very worrying…
Even one person voting who should not have voted is one person too many, because every citizen is entitled to one person, one vote, assuming their vote is counted equally and only with other American citizens.
Well said. It’s an open secret that voter rolls in many (mostly blue) states are compromised, and too many politicians are all too willing to turn a blind eye to the issue. It’s time for this to stop, and that’s exactly what Dhillon and his team are trying to do.
