UFC confirms Trump’s plan to host a fight at White House in 2026
The UFC plans to organize a combat card on the White House, a spokesperson for the confirmed promotion at NBC News on Friday. More details were not available, but President Donald Trump said he would like this as part of a celebration honoring the American 250th anniversary on July 4, 2026.
“We are going to have a UFC fight on the White House field,” said Trump in monks, Iowa, Thursday. “We have a lot of land there.”
He said he expects the card to understand a defeat in front of 20,000 to 25,000 people.
“Each of our national parks, battlefields and historic sites will have special events in honor of America 250. And I even think we are going to have a UFC fight,” said Trump.
It is not known how far the planning of the event is – or how certain it is that it will happen – and the UFC spokesperson said that more details would be published “in due course”.
The former champion with two division Conor McGregor, who has not contributed since July 2021, said on social networks that he wanted to return to the White House event.
“I would be honored,” he wrote. “Count me!”
Trump is a close friend with the president of the UFC, Dana White, who appeared during his campaign gatherings. Immediately after winning the 2024 elections, Trump brought White on stage to thank him for his efforts to help him re -elected himself.
A few days after recovering the White House last November, Trump – with Elon Musk, the president of the Mike Johnson room, R -La., And the future secretary of health and social services Robert Kennedy Jr. – attended a pay card to Madison Square Garden.
Trump has long links with sports fight. Dating from the 1980s, he hosted several marquee boxing games in his Atlantic City hotels and was often seen in the UFC matches.
