Lenovo’s next gaming laptop may have a rollable ultrawide OLED screen

Lenovo has already demonstrated its ability to integrate rollable OLEDs into laptops by moving from demo models to the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 last year, a real device you can buy. It has a built-in mechanism that extends the screen vertically to give you more screen real estate for typing and scrolling. However, the company may soon launch its first laptop using a rollable OLED to effectively transform its screen into an ultra-wide 21:9 aspect ratio display, with left and right edges that extend well beyond the bottom chassis.
The Lenovo Legion Pro Rollable will be its first gaming laptop with a horizontal rollable display, according to Latest versions of Windowsand we could see it as early as CES 2026 in a few weeks. The post doesn’t have many specs to share, like display resolution, refresh rate, or the components that will power the machine (aside from an Intel Core Ultra processor). He also doesn’t know how big the screen will be when rolled or unrolled, how much it will cost, or when exactly it will be released. The lack of details might seem suspicious, but this seems like exactly the sort of thing Lenovo would debut at CES.
Fingers crossed that this is real, as a horizontal rollable OLED would go a long way toward addressing the need to plug your laptop into a bigger, better monitor. Assuming it’s at least 1440p (or whatever Lenovo’s 21:10 WQXGA version has with more pixels) and has a reasonably fast refresh rate, this could be a really fun laptop to use whether you’re on the go or at home. But it certainly won’t be cheaper than the $3,500 ThinkBook Plus Gen 6.
