Display of Netanyahu’s severed head ‘incites public to murder PM’, Likud says in official complaint
The complaint further criticized the Israeli police, noting that officers were present at the scene, but did not intervene during the presentation of the exhibition.
Likud filed a formal complaint with police on Tuesday, alleging “incitement to the murder of the prime minister” after a display resembling a severed head of Benjamin Netanyahu was placed in the Tel Aviv District Court during his testimony on Tuesday.
Lawyer Tamar Arbel filed the complaint on behalf of the party.
According to the filing, the exhibit was set up at the court entrance while Netanyahu was in court.
The exhibit featured a sculpture of his severed head placed on a platform, with “7/10” written on the front. Likud said the installation was “a classic violent image of an execution” and sends an inciting message intended to encourage physical harm to the prime minister.
The party noted that protests outside the courthouse in recent months have included Netanyahu masks, orange jumpsuits and imprisonment-themed displays, but described the depiction of the prime minister’s beheading as “crossing a clear and criminal red line.”

The complaint said such images “normalize the possibility of assassination as a legitimate political act in the public consciousness.”
The complaint also criticizes AG Baharav-Miara and the Israeli police for their inaction
Likud also claimed that despite repeated complaints in recent years, Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara “refuses to approve the opening of investigations,” leading to cases of alleged incitement being closed without further action. This situation, the filing asserts, creates “a safe space for offenders.”
The complaint further criticized the Israeli police, noting that officers were present on the premises but did not intervene during the presentation of the exhibition. It says police must act “without delay” to identify, investigate and prosecute those responsible.
Copies of the complaint were sent to Police Commissioner Daniel Levi, Baharav-Miara and senior Likud officials.
