AirPods Pro 2 and 3 firmware update now available


Apple released a firmware update for the AirPods Pro 2 and 3 on Thursday. As it typically does with AirPods updates, the company didn’t announce what the new firmware does. The release notes are available here, but Apple doesn’t disclose much about the content of the AirPods updates other than “bug fixes and other improvements.”
The new AirPods Pro 2 firmware is labeled 8B28. The new AirPods Pro 3 firmware is 8B30.
Users cannot manually trigger the firmware update. Setup involves storing the earbuds in the charging case, plugging in the case, and placing it within range of your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. The box must be closed for at least 30 minutes when starting the installation. We have more details on how
