The Bluetooth icon or Bluetooth switch may be missing or grayed out in Settings or Quick Settings if Windows cannot recognize or enable the Bluetooth function. In this case, Bluetooth options may not appear or you may not be able to turn Bluetooth on or off. This problem can occur due to various reasons, such as incorrect Bluetooth settings, outdated or incompatible drivers, interrupted system services, hardware errors, or issues caused by recent Windows updates.

If Bluetooth appears in Device Manager but you cannot pair or connect to a Bluetooth device, there may be a configuration, driver, or device problem in Windows that is preventing successful communication. These issues can occur if Bluetooth is turned on but the device is not in pairing mode, is out of range, has low battery, or if there are issues with drivers, services, or updates.
No sound with Windows, even if connected via Bluetooth
If your Bluetooth device connects to Windows but you hear no sound, the audio quality is poor, or you disconnect frequently. This issue often occurs due to incorrect settings, outdated drivers, or compatibility restrictions.

If your Bluetooth connection is frequently interrupted or requires re-pairing, audio playback, file transfers, or use of peripheral devices may be interrupted. This problem is often caused by power saving settings, outdated drivers, or temporary system crashes.
Troubleshoot file transfer over Bluetooth
You may not be able to send or receive files via Bluetooth in Windows if the Bluetooth connection is active but the file transfer process cannot be started or completed.
