Our all-time favorite Kindle, the Kindle Paperwhite, has it all: three months of battery life, an auto-adjusting warm light, and a beautiful 7-inch screen for one of the best e-reading experiences. The regular and Signature versions are currently on sale at a very attractive price.

If they already have an e-reader but don’t yet have a color one, give them the colored Kindle to up their reading game. If there’s anyone I think can really benefit from a color e-reader, it’s kids. The cheapest Kindle is even cheaper right now, with a sale price under $100. It’s the smallest Kindle with only a 6-inch screen, but it still delivers fast performance.
