Elon Musk says he is launching new America Party

Elon Musk says he is launching a new political party, weeks after having radically dropped with US President Donald Trump.
The billionaire announced on his X social media platform that he had created the America party, presenting it as a challenge for the Bipartite republican system and democrat.
However, it is not clear if the party has been officially registered with American electoral authorities. Musk, who was born outside the United States and is therefore not eligible to present himself to the American presidency, does not say who will lead him.
He first raised the prospect of forming a party during his public quarrel with Trump, who saw him leaving his role in the administration and engaging in a vicious public spit with his former ally.
During this line, Musk published a survey on X asking users if there should be a new political party in the United States.
By referring to this survey in his article on Saturday, Musk wrote: “By a factor of 2 to 1, you want a new political party and you have it!
“When it comes to going bankrupt our country with waste and transplants, we live in a single party system, not a democracy.
“Today, the America party is trained to make your freedom.”
On Saturday, the Federal Electoral Commission had not published documents indicating that the party had been officially registered.
Although there have been high -level players outside the traditional bipartite system in American politics, it is difficult for them to gain fairly strong popularity on a national scale to constitute a real threat.
During the presidential election of last year, candidates of the Libertarian Party, the Green Party and the People’s Party all tried in vain to put the sky of Trump or his Democrat rival, Kamala Harris, to win.
Musk was until recently a supporter of Trump, dancing by his side during the electoral rallies last year and bringing his four -year -old son to meet Trump in the oval office.
He was also Trump’s main donor: Musk spent $ 250 million (187 million pounds sterling) to help him find his duties.
After the elections, he was appointed to direct the so-called Ministry of Government Effectiveness (DOGE), which was responsible for identifying the swinging cuts in the federal budget.
His repercussions with Trump started when he left the administration in May and publicly criticized Trump’s tax and expenditure plans.
The legislation – that Trump called his “big and beautiful bill” – was narrowly adopted by the congress and was signed by the president this week.
Massive law includes huge expenditure commitments and tax reductions, and should add more than 3 TF to the American deficit in the next decade.
Especially for Musk, who has the Tesla electric vehicle giant, Trump’s bill does not focus on green transition or subsidies for products like Teslas.
“Elon can get more grant than any human being in history, by far,” wrote Trump on his social media site, Truth Social, this week. “Without subsidies, Elon should probably close the shop and go home to South Africa.”
Trump threatened to see DOGE on subsidies in favor of Musk companies, also alluding to other companies in the billionaire.
Musk also owns SpaceX, which launches rockets for the American government, and Starlink, which provides a satellite service for the American and European defense forces.
