At Least 49 People Dead as Result of Catastrophic Texas Flooding

On Friday, at least 49 people were reported following the catastrophic wave which occurred Friday near the city of Kerrville, Texas, after torrential precipitation overflowed the Guadalupe river at the historic levels.

NBC News reported that the number of deaths had reached “49 people in four counties”, the County of Kerr declaring 43 deaths, made up of 15 children and 28 adults. Following the floods, the Guadalupe river increased by about 26 feet in less than an hour.

About 27 children who had attended a Christian camp, Camp Mystic, would have disappeared in the aftermath of the devastating floods, according to the Austin American-Statesman.

While more than two dozen people have disappeared, “more than 850 rescues took place”, depending on the point of sale:

Research and rescue operations are underway, as more and more storms threaten the region, with up to 10 additional inch of rain forecasts on Saturday. Until now, more than 850 rescues have taken place in the middle of the floods in the center of Texas.

Representative August Pfluger (R-TX) revealed on Saturday that he and his wife, Camille, had found their daughters, who had been evacuated from the Mystic camp.

Several parents of Texas are still waiting for the hope that their children will be found and rescued, with a father, Ty Badon, telling CNN that they were praying for his daughter and his friends to be “still alive”, according to the Daily mail.

The last time Badon’s daughter and her friends were heard was around 4:00 a.m. on July 4 morning, Badon adding that “her daughter and friends hung up frantically” to help other people in need.

“We pray that the four are still alive,” he said, holding tears. “The four are missing. They are still missing.

Badon, a Beaumont resident, added that the last time his daughter and friends had been heard, it was around 4 am on Friday morning.

“It’s been four hours yesterday morning that we were told that they were on the phone with Aidan’s father, that they have the house where they were,” he said, adding that the house “is no longer there.”

Bob Price of Breitbart News and Randy Clark reported that the video sequences captured by Breitbart Texas on Saturday show the devastating impact of the flood, the trees being “flattened” and the houses “have erased their foundations”. The video of Breitbart Texas “also shows several vehicles marked by rescue teams to show that they have been sought for victims or survivors.”:

A video shot by Breitbart Texas on Saturday the day after the day of independence shows the devastating effect of a wall of water which increased at least 26 feet above the banks of the Guadalupe river in a few hours. The trees were flattened, the houses wiped their foundations and the cars were launched like broken toys.

The video shows several vehicles marked by rescue teams to show that they had been sought after victims or survivors. A scene shows destroyed houses while the water climbed on the steep hill, to leave a slightly higher house unharmed.

Richard “Dick” Eastland, the director of the Camp Mystic, would have been among those who died due to the devastating flood, the Kerrville Daily Times reported.

While Speaking In Fox News, representative Chip Roy (R-TX) explained that a girl who had “floated on a mattress for three hours” before being saved had survived the floods and that she was “healthy and healthy”.

“One of the little girls in our school, fortunately, you know, praising the Lord, has been found,” said Roy. “She floated on a mattress for three hours yesterday morning, and we have just received the text she survived and that we located it and that it is healthy and healthy.”

In response to sudden catastrophic floods in Texas, Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX) said on Sunday, July 6, 2025 to be a day of prayer.

“Declared this Sunday, July 6 as a day of prayer in Texas in response to floods in the country of the hills,” wrote Abbott in a job On X. “I invite the Texans to join me in prayer for the communities affected by this disaster.”
