Brooklyn driver mad snowball thrown at his minivan attacks 10-year-old boy

A Brooklyn driver, enraged after a snowball was thrown at his minivan, attacked a 10-year-old boy, smashing his head against the windshield of another vehicle, police said Tuesday.
The attacker fled the scene in Kensington in a silver minivan, leading the New York Police Department to release surveillance footage showing him confronting the victim in hopes that someone would recognize the suspect.
The boy was taken by doctors to Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition and treated for pain in the right side of the head and left hand.
The attacker braked after a snowball was thrown at his vehicle near Ocean Parkway and Ditmas Ave around 4:10 p.m. on December 17.

He had harsh words toward the boy and another friend, police said, although it was unclear which friend threw the snowball. The attacker then assaulted the victim, smashing his head against the rear windshield of a parked vehicle before driving west on Ditmas Avenue toward Cortelyou Road.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
