The White House Goes Full Christmas Vacation — Cousin Eddie Provides Hilarious Response – RedState
I, like many people, am used to watching some of the Christmas movies that are perpetually shown on television around this time.
I just watched A Christmas Story – required viewing, I think. I always like how they end up at the Chinese restaurant for Christmas “turkey” after the Bumpus’ dogs catch the real turkey and the Chinese owner cuts off the duck’s head. Now I’m moving on to Home Alone. We also watch the timeless classics, It’s a Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th Street.
But another movie we absolutely have to watch is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, starring the Griswold family. My colleague Bob Hoge just referenced this in another story about a “real-life Clark Griswold” and a “grumpy HOA.”

Apparently the White House also has fans of the film as it released a message wishing people a “Merry Christmas – and Make America Great Again” with a Griswold theme. They edited with a flashing MAGA message.

The White House briefing is certainly top notch, and people loved it.
One of the things that made it even funnier was that it elicited a response from “Cousin Eddie” – one of the main players and points of humor in the film. The man who played “Cousin Eddie” is Randy Quaid, the older brother of Reagan actor Dennis and a Trump supporter. He posted this meme about one of the movie’s most hilarious moments.

It’s great. One of the great things about the movie is that we all know what it’s like to deal with…interesting parents.

The White House is certainly making a splash with its Christmas messages. Trump also had funny calls with children on the NORAD Santa hotline, and he made some of them laugh.

Compare that to what we had before. Can anyone forget this wonderful troll of a certain mind who spoke to Joe and Jill Biden on a Christmas call in 2021? This may explain why they suddenly started having very controlled interactions with the media.

“Let’s go, Brandon!” » said the man to the Bidens. Then Joe Biden had no idea what that meant; he had no idea his leg was being punked. His wife, Jill, knew this, which is why you could see her face suddenly wrinkle like a sour lemon, but she knew she had to keep her cool under the circumstances. When you see that, you know how completely out of place the person who was supposed to be in charge was.
We are so much better now.
