The series revolves around the small fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana in the 1980s, as a group of children discover a paranormal world beneath their own. One of the main characters of the series, Will Byers, was kidnapped and taken to the “Upside Down” during the series’ premiere episode in July 2016.

His group of friends, who make up a Dungeons & Dragons evening, also discover a mysterious girl with telekinetic powers who has no other identity than the number 11 tattooed on her wrist. Eleven and the group of boys work together to uncover the hidden mysteries of Hawkins and bring Will home.

And even though Will returned, his connection to the supernatural world didn’t stop there. Over the course of the series, the group of preteens grows up as they fight against the unknown powers seeking to take over Hawkins while learning more about Eleven’s origins – and her connection to the “Upside Down.”

The world of “Stranger Things” has expanded to include a large cast of characters beloved by fans – who fear that these characters will not survive the final battle against the forces controlling the “Upside Down.”

Many have been impatiently counting the hours on social media while waiting for the final episodes of the series to be released.

It’s a big day for Netflix, which is organizing “NFL Christmas Gameday” for a second year. The streaming platform cross-promoted both holiday events on its social platforms.

“Stranger Things” actors Caleb McLaughlin and Gaten Matarazzo were featured in a video promoting the programming on Netflix’s social media accounts.

“He East a big day,” Matarazzo says in the video, while munching on popcorn alongside McLaughlin.

The streaming platform also released an image of NFL players cycling through the “Upside Down” in a crossover between the two streaming events. The NFL called it “the perfect combo for Christmas Day.”
