Flash Floods Prompt Evacuation of Responders Near Deadly Texas Flood Site

While research continues for several missing people, including at least 11 Camp Mystic, a new round of rain caused more evacuations.
“Warning of the Slaques Founds in force for the mystical region of the County Camp of Kerr,” published the meteorologist Dylan Federico, KDFW on Sunday evening, adding: “The first stakeholders are being evacuated.”
The warning occurred at the National Weather Service published updated opinions, including a flooded watch, two flash flood warnings and an additional flood warning.
The area affected by the last series of warnings is the place where the staff continued to search after the fatal floods that swept the campers and vacationers along the Guadalupe river on Friday.
Until now, the authorities have announced at least 68 deaths in Kerr County, with nearly a dozen others reported in the center of Texas.
“The Doppler radar said that thunderstorms producing heavy rains in the informed area. Until 1 inch of rain has dropped. Quantities of additional precipitation up to 2 inches are possible in the informed area. Sudden floods are underway or which should start shortly,” said a NWS alert.
They warned against “sudden floods putting life in danger of streams and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and sub-bodies”, in multiple areas previously flooded, notably Ingram, Hunt, Waltonia and Mountain Home.
“The tributaries of North Fork Guadalupe can see a rapid increase which could lead to an increase of 2 to 3 feet in the river around hunting. A flood warning for minor floods around hunting will be published shortly.”
