Chiefs staffer goes viral for awkward moment after Christmas loss

The Kansas City Chiefs raised eyebrows after their Christmas Day loss when a staff member turned cameras away from Travis Kelce, after what could have been his final home game, in an awkward moment that was making the rounds on social media.
The camera was zooming in on the tight end, 36, walking through the halls of Arrowhead Stadium when a man wearing a Chiefs hoodie proclaims “I told you. I told you so,” according to the clip tweeted by MLFootball.
This man then brings in another man in a suit, who shakes his head at the camera before offering a muffled explanation for this confusing behavior.
IT WAS VERY STRANGE…
In Kansas City #Chefs A staff member got involved with the Prime Video broadcast cameraman who was trying to follow Travis Kelce into the locker room.

A baffled commentator then explains to viewers that they won’t “let a camera go down the hallway for any reason.”
The “very strange” interaction was viewed at least 2.6 million times on MLFootball’s X account alone, although the footage was streamed live during the broadcast.
Kelce’s fiancée, Taylor Swift, also 36, was in the crowd Thursday when the Super Bowl-winning tight end lost to the Denver Broncos.

Although Kelce has remained quiet about when he plans to hang up his jersey, it has long been speculated that this will be Kelce’s final season, which will not include another bid for the Lombardi Trophy.
Earlier this month, ESPN’s Chris Russo said he was “really upset” with Kelce for deciding to “blow everyone up” after the team’s disqualifying game on Dec. 14, when quarterback Patrick Mahomes tore his ACL.
“We have these poor guys who have been covering the Chiefs for years,” Russo said. “Every day for seven months they cover the football team and you took them out at the end of that game when they took Mahomes out? Maybe the last game you’ll ever play. [with him]? … This is false. This is not the way to do it. … Give them a few sentences for Chiefs fans.
Swift, meanwhile, continues to sing her future husband’s praises, most recently in several songs from her latest album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” and in her six-part docuseries Eras Tour, which wrapped on Disney+ this week.
