Sixers injury news: VJ Edgecombe, others get upgrades vs. Bulls

As the Philadelphia 76ers prepare to face the Chicago Bulls on Friday to begin a 5-game road trip, they could bring some reinforcements back onto the court.
After the initial injury report listed VJ Edgecombe, Quentin Grimes and Dominick Barlow as all questionable for the game against the Bulls due to illness, they have since all been upgraded to probable for this contest. As for Joel Embiid (right knee injury management), he remains questionable to play. The big guy had a brief scare in the third quarter Tuesday when he went down clutching his right knee. He left for the locker room before returning and finishing the game.
The Sixers and Bulls will kick off Friday at 7:30 p.m. EST from the United Center. Philadelphia will look to avenge its loss to the Bulls on Nov. 4 when it saw a 24-point lead slip away.
