Snow totals in North Jersey? Here’s your town-by-town inch count

The storm that we expected to drop between 5 and 9 inches moved a little further north locally than expected.
As of 3 a.m., 4 inches were reported in Ramsey. By contrast, in Poughkeepsie, New York, there was 8.1 inches at 10 p.m., according to Bob Ziff, a spokesman for the North Jersey Weather Observers.
“It wasn’t a big storm unless you were very far north,” Ziff said. “The accumulations (were) contained by the melted snow, which mixed with the snow around 7 p.m. last night, even though it was 20 degrees.”
