Lawsuit Raises Big Questions on Trump’s Security, How Activists Got Close – RedState

There are concerns about President Donald Trump’s safety after assassination attempts, hatred from the left, and even threats from foreign governments.

That’s why security breaches, like what happened in September at Joe’s seafood restaurant in Washington, raise big questions. The protesters found themselves almost within arm’s reach of President Donald Trump and members of his Cabinet when they arrived for dinner. How were they allowed to get so close, and why didn’t the Secret Service ensure the restaurant was secure before Trump and his group arrived? And what does it mean for security if they let this slide?

The demonstrators were ridiculous and chanted: “Trump is the Hitler of our time!” »

Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton tried to get some answers.

“I’m really worried about the president’s safety,” Fitton told the NY Post. He said Trump found himself in a potentially dangerous situation at Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab restaurant. Its website has been trying to obtain information for three months.

Judicial Watch filed a lawsuit Dec. 18 in federal court in Washington, D.C. seeking “all internal emails and text messages between USSS officials in the Presidential Protective Division regarding the presence of Code Pink protesters” at the restaurant.

He also wants “all emails sent between USSS officials and any email account ending in @codepink.org.”

The government allegedly ignored a Dec. 9 deadline to provide the information under the Freedom of Information Act, according to court documents.

Why aren’t they responding to the FOIA? And why don’t we already know how the protesters knew Trump was going to that restaurant? Who did the activists get their information from?

The agency said all guests at the restaurant were screened before Trump arrived, and it is not commenting on the lawsuit. But how do you let Code Pink in? At this point, the Code Pink protesters should be known to the Secret Service and other law enforcement agencies in Washington. How do you not see the Palestinian banners/flags? And if you’re missing that, what else are you missing?

Former FBI Deputy Director Chris Swecker called the incident with Code Pink an “incredible security breach.”

“I can’t believe they would let random people sit near them. It’s crazy. It’s like when Abraham Lincoln was driving down Pennsylvania Avenue in his coach and buggy with no protection.”

This is just one of the incidents that prompt lingering questions. They also let a guy pass who had a Glock at the Trump National Golf Club in Virginia when Trump was there. They claimed he was not near Trump. Second, there are still many unanswered questions regarding the attempted assassination in Butler, Pennsylvania.
