Tim Walz Throws Tantrum After Daycare Funding Spigot Is Shut Off, Gets Epic Ratio in Return – RedState

Things aren’t looking good for Minnesota Governor Tim Walz right now.

He’s in the middle of a swirling fraud scandal and is rightly being blamed for not stopping it.

The Trump administration took steps earlier this week to turn off the money spigot. They are demanding receipts before any money goes out in the future and an audit of the daycares featured in Nick Shirley’s viral video.

Now, if Walz had any common sense, his response should have been: “Thank you for your help, we will do everything we can to comply and help ensure that any fraud is stopped.” » He would take responsibility and say he is going to clean up.

But it’s Tim Walz, who makes no sense and can’t read the room. So, of course, he went to default mode #1 and… blamed President Donald Trump. It was one for the books.

This is Trump’s long game.

We have spent years fighting against fraudsters. This is a serious problem – but that was always his plan.

He is politicizing the issue to defund programs that help Minnesotans.

No, Tim, the Trump administration is asking you to provide proof before shelling out money. Trump is not politicizing the issue; You are. This should be a simple request. Why do you have a problem with this? Hmm…

So let me set the record straight. According to Tim Walz, was Trump’s “long game” that Walz let fraud happen in his state? Is this really the tantrum he wants to provoke? If he spent years suppressing this phenomenon, why does it continue? As we reported, Minnesota Republican state Rep. Kristin Robbins (R-37A), chair of the Minnesota House Fraud Prevention and Oversight Committee, said she spoke to Walz about the child care issue almost a year ago, but he did nothing.

Democrats are still looking to Trump to try to avoid scrutiny of their own actions. Trump had nothing to do with the fraud in Minnesota, but he is providing the leadership needed to stop it in the absence of such leadership from Democrats like Tim.

Walz was understandably compared to the moon for his response. The Minnesota Republican Party laughed at his excuse.

Walz was skewered by one of the HHS guys in the video, who turned off the spigot, Alex Adams. He is the Assistant Secretary of the Administration for Children and Families, U.S. Health and Human Services (ACFHHS). As billions were stolen fraudulently under Walz, Adams said he was asking orphans to pay for their own foster care and embezzling their Social Security survivor benefits.

Walz can throw all the tantrums he wants, but he can’t escape his own actions.
