Petkit Just Announced Three New Smart Devices for Your Pets

Petkit just announced three new smart pet tech products ahead of CES. Although the conference doesn’t begin until Tuesday, the company shared details about its upcoming devices that are expected to launch this spring. Unsurprisingly, Petkit touts all three pet devices as “AI-powered,” and while it’s been a must-have gadget for businesses since 2023, there are some unique applications here, assuming the devices actually do what Petkit says they do.
Purobot Crystal Duo Litter Box
Petkit claims that the Purobot Crystal Duo is the first AI-powered open litter box and that the Purobot uses the technology for health detection. This device has an AI-powered 720p camera that monitors your cat’s stools as well as their behavior when visiting the litter box. The Purobot looks at things like stool consistency and urine pH, as well as “vocalizations,” and notes it all in the Petkit app. You can bring any of these findings to your veterinarian if you have any concerns.
Petkit says the Purobot uses crystal litter to absorb urine and dehydrate waste to manage odors. The company says users can wait 30 days before needing to collect the contents of the litter box, which also comes with disposable boxes. The company plans to launch Purobot in July, both on Amazon and the official Petkit website.
Eversweet Ultra Water Dispenser
Petkit’s new water dispenser also uses an AI-powered camera to track health habits, but this time through your pet’s “hydration habits.” The device comes with a 1080p camera with a 140-degree wide-angle view that tracks your pet while it drinks, even in the dark. The Eversweet supports facial recognition for multiple pets, which, in theory, allows it to track the drinking habits of specific animals on the same device.
The dispenser comes with a five-liter reservoir, which Petkit says provides a full two weeks of drinking water for one pet. The device detects when the water level is low and refills the bowl when needed, passing through an “antibacterial filter cube” to prevent bacterial growth. Any “waste” water is not recirculated through the dispenser, but is separated, so animals should always have fresh water when the tank is full.
Petkit says the Eversweet Ultra could launch in April, although that’s just an estimate. It will also be available on Amazon as well as on the official Petkit website.
Yumshare Daily Party
Perhaps Petkit’s biggest announcement is the Yumshare Daily Feast, an automatic feeder that works with wet food. This feeder can distribute fresh food for cats and dogs on a personalized schedule, while tracking your pet’s eating habits to create “food information”. This information is partially illuminated by the charger’s AI-powered 1080p built-in camera, with a 140-degree wide-angle view. It also supports facial recognition of multiple animals.
What do you think of it so far?
Petkit says Yumshare Daily Feast supports up to seven days of fully automated wet meals, the operative word being “automated.” The machine opens each food package itself and each portion is “kept in its freshness window”. This means that if your pet doesn’t finish their meal, the device will remove the leftovers and use ultraviolet light (specifically UVC) to disinfect it before delivering the next portion.
Petkit estimates that it will release the Yumshare Daily Feast in April, both on Amazon and the official Petkit website.
As with any new product, we’ll have to wait until reviewers can conduct hands-on testing before deciding whether these devices can actually achieve what they claim. However, if Petkit products are anything to go by, they could offer pet owners some legitimate benefits. The wet feeder could really be ideal for anyone who has to leave their cat for long periods of time. The Purobot and Eversweet could also provide essential health information before a vet visit: If you see reports that your cat is crying while using the litter box, or not drinking as much water as she usually does, you can anticipate a health problem by notifying your veterinarian as soon as possible.
