Campylobacter cases declined while Salmonella infections were stable in England in the third quarter of 2025 when compared with the same period in 2024, according to recently released data.

However, Campylobacter and Salmonella cases increased from the previous two quarters in 2025.

Data from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) shows there were 18,996 confirmed laboratory reports of Campylobacter and 3,794 of Salmonella in Q3 2025. This includes infections acquired overseas.
