The AirPods 4 are pretty highly rated among CNET experts for many reasons such as the compact design and improved sound. Some retailers are offering some big discounts to kick off 2026 — but act fast as time is running out.
In his full review of the AirPods 4, CNET’s audio expert David Carnoy notes that in both models (with and without active noise cancellation), “the sound is a little cleaner (improved treble), and you get a bit more bass, so there’s a touch more depth and fullness.” He also says that the high-end AirPods 4 are the first open earbuds he’s tried that have “active noise canceling that actually works.”

Amazon is offering the AirPods 4 with ANC for just $149 right now, saving you $30. If you want the ANC options, you can save $37 bringing the price down to $173. The ANC version also comes with AppleCare Plus.
Apple AirPods 4 at Target
Target also has the AirPods 4 on sale for a great price right now. You’ll save $30 on both the basic pair and on the advanced pair with ANC. Plus, you’ll instantly save 5% if you make the purchase with your Target Circle™ card.*
You can order the AirPods 4 and AirPods 4 with ANC from the Apple Store. You can also get free engraving when you order your AirPods 4 from the Apple Store. Plus, Apple will give you three free months of Apple Music with your purchase, if you’re a new or returning subscriber.
Apple likely won’t discount the AirPods 4, but you can pay in installments if that’s better for your budget. You’ll get 3% cash back if you pay using your Apple Card*.
Apple AirPods 4 at Best Buy
Like other retailers, Best Buy is currently offering some solid discounts. You’ll save $30 off both the basic AirPods 4 and the pair with ANC. Plus, the tech retailer has its own trade-in program where you can save even more in exchange for your old headphones and earbuds. Pairs from Apple, Bose, Sony and tons of other brands are all accepted.
You can order the AirPods 4 from B&H with the ANC version offering a $20 savings. The non-ANC version is available with a less notable $10 discount. B&H also offers a neat way to save on sales tax with its house-branded B&H Payboo Credit Card* — it gives you the sales tax as cash back.
Apple AirPods 4 at Adorama
