Trump Reacts to ICE Shooting, Warns ‘Radical Left’ is Threatening Agents
President Trump commented on an ICE agent’s shooting of a woman in Minneapolis, saying the incident appeared to be “self-defense” and warning that the “radical left” was threatening the agents.
Breitbart News reported that the incident occurred after a woman allegedly drove her vehicle at an ICE agent in the street, with the agent then shooting to stop her.
Homeland Security posted about the incident onwriting: “Today, ICE officers in Minneapolis were conducting targeted operations when rioters began blocking ICE officers and one of these violent rioters armed his vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them – an act of domestic terrorism. An ICE officer, fearing for his life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement officers and the safety of the public, fired shots defensive.
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey (D) initially responded to the incident with an X-rated message, saying ICE was “causing chaos” and demanding that ICE personnel “leave the city immediately.”
He then held a press conference in which he called on ICE to “get the hell out of Minneapolis.”
Rep. Rashida Tliab (D) responded with post a call to “abolish ICE now.”
President Trump used a Social Truth article to note that the shooting appeared to have occurred “in self-defense.”
He addressed the ICE agent who was allegedly attacked, writing: “From the attached clip, it’s hard to believe he’s alive, but he’s now recovering in the hospital.” »
Later in his message, Trump wrote: “…the reason these incidents are happening is because the radical left threatens, attacks, and targets our law enforcement officers and ICE agents on a daily basis. They are simply trying to do the job of MAKING AMERICA SAFE. We must stand by and protect our law enforcement officers from this radical left movement of violence and hatred!”
