In a statement, the club said “it is in the final stages of an agreement during an exclusivity period regarding a significant investment in the club from a US-based investment fund.”
The statement added: “The club has made clear its desire to increase investment to realize its ambition to move to full-time football and compete in the final stages of qualifying for the UEFA competition, and discussions are ongoing with a party who adheres to the same vision.
“The club hopes to make further announcements in due course.”
Since Edwards took over as president of Haverfordwest in the summer of 2020, they have enjoyed a remarkable rise.

The Bluebirds have also established a reputation for being the most progressive clubs in Welsh national football – current Club Brugge head coach Nicky Hayen has been in charge of the team during the 2021-2022 season.
But with the Cymru Premier set to undergo an overhaul next season – with an increase from 12 to 16 teams – Edwards recognized the need for further investment or a complete buyout if the club is to remain competitive and competitive for Europe.
Meanwhile, Edwards’ company Morley Sports Management Group recently took over Scottish League One club Hamilton Academical.
