These are the best Prime Day deals on Verge-favorite gadgets

Each month, we like to question our staff about their favorite things – whether technology, cooking tools or camping equipment. What they answer gives us interesting information about what people here like to use when they are at work or enjoy a little free time.
Now that Amazon’s early sales sales have returned, we have examined some of our recent “favorite” articles and found offers on many devices we love. So, we thought that we list a few in case you read them in the past and you think, well, that kind of sound, but it’s a bit expensive. (Or – it’s quite cheap, but maybe I will wait for the price to drop even more …)
Here, some of the most popular equipment of our staff who are now on sale during the first day.

If you can’t wait to go out on a bike ride even when it is more than 85 degrees, you don’t want to be stuck without an adequate water supply. I only have room for a kissing carrier on my bicycle, so I discovered that it was much more practical to transport water on my back with the well-named Camelbak hydrobak hydration pack. It is a light backpack which contains up to 1.5 liters of water, which says it is sufficient for a two -hour bike ride.
The backpack is also delivered with a practical straw you lift and drink, preventing yourself from stopping and drinking your water bottle (unless you are coordinated enough to take a sip during driving, which I am not). It also maintains your relatively cool water even when the sun beats its back.
In addition to storing the water, there is a zipper pocket where you can store car keys, your identifier and other small items. It’s not just ideal for bicycle either. Many people use Hydrobak camelbak during long hikes, races and even for music festivals. – Emma Roth, new writer

I try to bring a Bluetooth speaker everywhere with me when the weather is nice. A party at the pool, a park day, a golf exit, a suspension on the rear patio – everything is better with music! There are obviously a lot of good speakers, but for me, the EU Wonderboom 4 is the perfect. It is only $ 100, it is small but strong enough to operate almost anywhere, its battery lasts all day, then some, it is waterproof, and it floats. (All colors are beautiful, by the way, but … get blue.) There are more sophisticated speakers with more features, and the megaboom of $ 200 sounds much better, but I keep a Wonderboom in my trunk, and that made me the hero of the party more than I can count. – David Pierce, editor -in -chief

My biggest means of deterrent to spend time outside is bugs, mosquitoes specifically. I would like them to bother. They seemed to me to do interpretative dance to avoid being stung. Fortunately, a gadget that I obtained last year made sure I don’t need to be (like) protector from my exposed skin.
Thermacell manufactures rephaintable and rechargeable mosquitoes. I obtained the E series model, which creates a safe area where you will probably not be bitten. This lasts a little more than five hours per load, which means that I get more use before I need to load it again. Just make sure you don’t use it in an environment where there is no appropriate ventilation; Thermacell notes that his ingredients should not be a concern for people or pets, but I don’t want too much insecticide around my loved ones – or my food. – Cameron Faulkner, commercial publisher

Small charger of 5,000 mAh practical with foldable USB-C connector; Marketed for subsequent iPhones but also usable for Android phones.
I tend to keep my phones as long as they work quite well, and although I have to admit that I was tempted by the Pixel 9a, I will probably use my Pixel 6 a little longer. The only problem I start to reach is the battery life – after more than three years of use, it is not unexpected that I sometimes reach the 20% mark towards the end of the day. So I recently realized that I will have to start transporting a portable charger. At the beginning, I was going to go with the Anker Zolo power bank of 20,000 mAh, which had obtained a good number of recommendations. But it weighs more than 11 ounces and when I dropped it into my bag, I felt like I added a small brick. This is why I exchanged it for the Anker Nano Food Bank less powerful but much lighter, which connects to the USB-C site of my phone as a small additional device. The nano weighs only 3.5 ounces and provides 5,000 mAh of battery – enough to get myself at the end of the day. And it is available in several pale colors (I chose Ice Lake Blue), which means that I can see it more easily in the dark range of my bag. – Barbara Krasnoff, editor -in -chief

Kitchen up to seven eggs three different ways; Supplied with an omelet bowl that also cooks vegetables.
My body composition has become about 70% eggs during the month of happiness since I bought this cook. I never want to buy new counter kitchen devices, because almost every time I do it, they end up dusty at the back of the wardrobe, but I am amazed at the useful of this simple Hamilton Beach egg stove. I can prepare hard eggs or boiled gently to perfect the consistency in a few minutes (without cleaning!), And having it at hand has considerably reduced my bacon, my eggs and my cheese sandwich. So it’s good for my cholesterol and my bank account. – Kristen Radtke, creative director

$23
18 ounce bottle of stainless steel with double -walled vacuum insulation.
It is a bottle of robust stainless stainless steel water that keeps cold water while I sip it throughout my work day. What more could you ask for? I also travel it, and although he has a few bumps of a few drops on the concrete, I really don’t care. If anything, the bumps add a little character and do it mine.– Jay Peters, editor -in -chief

An air fryer 11 in 1 quarter and an electric pressure cooker, aerial fries, steam, slow cooks, sautés, dehydrates and – in other words – give you a world of cooking features on your counter.
In recent years, the instant pot has been a basic food in my kitchen. From the production of rice to slow cooking stews and even the frying of the chicken, it can do almost anything. The best part is that the instant pot can cook most of the recipes in a fraction of the time that would be in the oven or on the stove. Rice, for example, only takes six minutes to cook (not to mention the time necessary to build a pressure), and there is no noise with the pot covered or the heat adjustment. Sometimes it is simply easier – and much less stressful – to let the instant pot take the wheel. – Emma Roth, new writer

$50
Light -in -law at 21 speed that is easy to use and store.
How often do you mix things? Is it never? Perhaps the reason is that going out, assembling and cleaning after a normal mixer is quite too much work. Do you know how many sauces I have thickened since you have an immersion mixer? This thing is small, quick to install, and you can especially clean it with just an explosion under the tap. You will mix so much. – Jacob Kastrenakes, editor -in -chief

This reusable sealing rod locks air and humidity to prevent your snacks from becoming outdated, prevents freezer burning and maintains fresh food longer.
It is a bit weird how much I love our grptics. Bag of open chips? Fast, take a Grimestic. Children vibrating between two different cereals this week? A well -placed graptic will ensure that they do not obtain all the Squishy. A small pack of chocolate chips that you used for a recipe that is now a little open in your closet for whom how long? Just fold the top, slide a grptic to it – the little blue, thank you – and stop worrying so.
I do not know for you or the shopping and food habits of your family, but try that we can shop on the exterior walls of the grocery store, we inevitably return with many packaged products in single -use plastic bags. It is in itself frustration, only aggravated by these same products which go badly if they are not stored properly. Gripstics are a simple solution to this universal problem, and that I am sure has been paid several times. – Christopher Grant, group editor
