LIVERPOOL, England (AP) — Liverpool defender Conor Bradley will undergo surgery after suffering a “significant” knee injury, the Premier League club announced Sunday.
Bradley was injured late in Thursday’s 0-0 draw against Arsenal.

Liverpool said Bradley will undergo an operation in the coming days before beginning his rehabilitation.
“No time frame has been set for his return to play at this stage of the process,” he said in a statement.
Bradley writhed in pain near the touchline after landing awkwardly on his left knee, clearing a clearance in injury time against Arsenal.
Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli sparked an angry response from Liverpool players when he tried to drag Bradley off the field in the final seconds in an attempt to move the game forward.
He has since apologized.
“Conor and I have messaged and I have already apologized to him,” Martinelli wrote in a post on Instagram. “I really didn’t understand that he had been seriously injured in the heat of the moment.

“I want to say that I am deeply sorry for my reaction. I once again send Conor all the best for a speedy recovery.”
Commenting on Sky Sports, former England and Manchester United defender Gary Neville described Martinelli’s behavior as “absolutely disgraceful”.
