Circle K is cutting gas prices by 40 cents per gallon

Gas prices are about to drop in Circle K, but only for a limited time.
The gas station chain is offering 40 cents per gallon off gasoline purchases on January 15. The offer will be valid from midnight to 11:59 p.m. local time. Thousands of the chain’s stores are expected to participate. The offer comes ahead of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.
To participate in the promotion, you must be a member of Circle K’s Inner Circle loyalty program. Membership is free and anyone can sign up through the company’s app, on the website, or at a Circle K location.
“Every dollar counts, especially as customers recover from holiday spending and look for ways to start the year with smart savings,” said Louise Warner, executive vice president of operations, North America, for Circle K. “Fuel Day is our way of giving back and rewarding Inner Circle members with meaningful savings on something essential.
There are some restrictions… Some states are not eligible for the discount, often due to state regulations. People who live in Alaska, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Massachusetts, Maine, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Wisconsin and Wyoming will not be eligible for discounted gasoline.
Circle K offers deep discounts on gas several times a year. It’s an effective way to attract people to its stores and, the company hopes, turn bargain seekers into repeat customers. The company last offered a significant discount last December.
