Will ‘main man’ Bowie’s head be turned by transfer links?

What a superb football match Hibs and Motherwell served up in front of the nearly 20,000 people gathered at Easter Road.
Hibs deserve huge credit for their ‘Football for a Fiver’ initiative, especially at this time of year when money is tight for many.

It was great to see so many fans enjoying it and I hope they saw enough to think it’s worth coming back for more.
Kieron Bowie has shown why Rangers and Celtic have joined a few English clubs and are keenly interested in his signature.
The Scottish striker has now found his feet at this level, and although he has had better games in green and white, he made a crucial contribution with a well-taken goal to secure a point for his side.
It is to be hoped that Bowie’s head is not turned by the interest generated by this window. We are a great platform to showcase his talent, he is the main striker for us and can see from the interest he has generated so far that clubs are taking notice when he turns it on for the Hibees.

With a World Cup on the horizon, Bowie must be sure to play a big role in the rest of the season. Every minute he spends on the pitch increases his chances of getting a place on the plane to the United States and David Gray has shown that when Bowie is fit, he plays.
With rumors of Hibs attempting to sign a striker and a right defender, fans can be sure the club sees the same shortcomings as we do.
Let’s hope Hibs secure some signings ahead of Saturday’s Scottish Cup tie, a game which has its own intrigue with Dunfermline managed by our former gaffer Neil Lennon.
Lennon is held in high regard at Easter Road, but we really hope he’s on the losing side this weekend.
