Located in the heart of Manhattan at Fifth Avenue and Central Park South, the Plaza opened its doors on October 1, 1907. The hotel boasts 19 floors of glamor and luxury, designed after a French chateau, and was born from the minds of financier Bernhard Beinecke, hotelier Fred Sterry, and Harry S. Black, president of the Fuller Construction Company. The Plaza is now widely considered a cultural institution.
