Jennifer Aniston Just Gave the Nostalgic 2016 Uniform a Modern Update for 2026

Jennifer Aniston just outdid all your nostalgic posts from 2016 by recreating her own look from over a decade ago.
I don’t know about you, but my Instagram feed has been flooded with retro images as millennials reminisce about their King Kylie days in 2016. Glamor On the Slack channel, editors swapped old photos, realizing how many of us owned the same Free People lace-up top or wore ankle boots and thick socks with denim shorts for no discernible reason.
One of the items that dominated these shots, of course, was the black felt floppy hat that held so many of us in a chokehold back when people still used the Rio De Janeiro filter. But why just post on Instagram when you can find an old favorite right here and now?
On January 15, the Morning show The star stepped out in a look that featured the accessory in a modernized version of a quintessential uniform of 2016. Preparing for the New York chill, Aniston wore an olive green parka with a cozy black scarf, favoring a casual black fedora rather than lifting the hood of her coat. The only thing that placed this photo firmly in 2026, aside from her modern iPad, was her light-wash wide-leg jeans.
If you need further proof that we are in the 2010s renaissance, let me take a look at Aniston in New York in October 2015. At the time, the Friends the star paired her black felt fedora with that a millennial green jacket (which is also making a comeback), as well as skinny jeans with ankle cuffs that were really on trend.
