Jan. 18—FARGO — Bad weather caused the closure of Interstate 29 between Fargo and the Canadian border on Sunday, Jan. 18, but that didn’t stop a driver from traveling on the closed road or convince him to reduce his speed.
North Dakota Highway Patrol
reported on his Facebook page
On Sunday afternoon, a trooper stopped a motorist going 104 mph in an 80 mph zone on a closed portion of I-29.
The Facebook post stated that the driver had a minor passenger in the vehicle with him and that in addition to receiving a $140 citation and 7 points on his driving record, the driver was also charged with reckless endangerment, a class A misdemeanor.
