Jan. 15

Bradley S. Hoyt, 31, Ottawa, pleaded not guilty to four counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person, two counts of illegal use of a minor or impaired person in nudity-oriented material or performance, and two counts possessing criminal tools. He was placed on an OR bond and a pre-trial was scheduled for 11 a.m. Feb. 12. He must have no contact with the alleged victims. He is allowed to travel as long as the travel itinerary is provided to the court.

According to court records, the first four counts allege that Hoyt possessed images of a minor aged female engaged in sexual activity which was maintained on a rose gold Samsung smart phone while at his Ottawa address on Sept. 3. The next two counts allege that Hoyt possessed images of a minor aged female in a state of nudity on a rose gold Samsung smart phone while at his Ottawa address on Sept. 3. The possessing criminal tool counts allege that Hoyt used a rose gold Samsung smart phone to commit a felony offense.

Jan. 10

Serge J. Mayeku, 34, Defiance, was fined $150 for driving under FRA/noncompliance suspension.

Jan. 12

Elizabeth L. Sampson, 41, Forest, pleaded guilty to theft. Sentence: 180 days jail, 175 days suspended, $50 fine.

Robert P. Schabel, 45, Vaughnsville, pleaded guilty to public indecency. Sentence: 30 days jail, suspended, $150 fine, and perform 24 hours community service.

Kenneth H. Derosia, 47, Ottawa, was fined $150 for failure to reinstate license.

Jan. 13

Adam L. Desote, 37, Continental, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of menacing. Sentence: 30 days jail, suspended, and pay court costs.

William W. Willey, 33, Ada, pleaded no contest to driving under OVI suspension and was found guilty. Sentence: 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $250 fine and license suspended for one year with work privileges.

Bryce J. Agner, 50, Ottawa, was fined $150 for school bus violation.

Jan. 15

Brenda H. Groff, 66, Continental, pleaded guilty to an amended offense of persistent disorderly conduct. Sentence: 30 days jail, suspended, $150 fine.

Drew L. Hawkins, 34, Continental, pleaded guilty to resisting arrest. Sentence: 90 days jail, suspended, $250 fine. He also pleaded guilty to an amended charge of criminal mischief. Sentence: 60 days jail, 59 days suspended, $250 fine and complete a mental health assessment.
