I got a fine after Cineworld cut its parking time limit | Money

I parked at Cineworld in Chichester to watch the new film Avatar: Fire and Ash.
It is more than three hours and, when I returned to my car, I had received a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) for overstaying. I had watched the previous two Avatar films there without any problem.
Cineworld has since told me that customers have to enter their license plate on a screen when they arrive at the cinema, but I haven’t seen anything. telling me that.

Cineworld customers in other parts of the country were also surprised when the landowner reduced the maximum parking permit from four to three hours at some sites. This happened in Chichester last summer. Signs indicate the new time limit in the car park but regulars, accustomed to a longer stay, will not necessarily point them out.
The booking confirmation emails from the cinema company make no mention of the requirement to register a vehicle upon arrival.
Cineworld told me it doesn’t own or manage the parking lot and that signs inform customers of the new rules.
Although he insisted he was not responsible for the PCNs, he canceled yours after I contacted him.
