Get rid of all the size of the photo application on iOS 18

Ok, I’ll say directly, I really don’t like the overhaul that Apple gave the photo application on iOS 18. I understand what it goes, but it seems terribly cluttered by default. I do not want my main camera bread to constantly remind me of vacation or suggestions for wallpapers with photos and videos that I am not looking for.

Fortunately, Apple gives you the opportunity to personalize the photos application in the desire of your heart.

When you open the photo application for the first time, you will see a grid of all your photos and videos, which is the view of the library you are used to, but at the bottom, you will notice that the navigation bar has disappeared, and instead of the collections for photos and videos that you have taken recently and that you have friends, family and pets.

If you slide downwards, you will continue to see random collections and albums, such as pinned collections, shared albums, memories, travel, star photos and wallpaper suggestions, which all lived in albums and for you. Now they are all in the same place on iOS 18, which is the main view. Although it can be useful to some, I don’t need to see everything at the same time. I just want to see my camera roll and some albums.

To customize the photos application, sweep all along the bottom and press Personalize and reorganize. Here you can uncheck all the collections you want to hide at the main view. You can also organize the order in which they appear. I don’t want wallpaper suggestions and most other options, so I didn’t check everything but Types of media (Organize your media in videos, live photos, etc.) and Public services (Albums for hidden receipts, recently deleted, documents, etc.).

Of course, you will no longer be able to see the collections that Apple has created for you and several other albums. But if you don’t use them, you are better in this way, because you can always find a photo or video you want by the camera jet or using the search button at the top.

Remove all the new pages of the IOS 18 control center

I use the control center all the time – to connect quickly to Wi -Fi, activate not to disturb, activate the dark mode or the Basen Battery mode and discover new songs with the control of musical recognition. However, with iOS 18, Apple has extended the way the control center is designed and it now has several control pages, some before and others that you can create yourself.

Things are that I don’t need several central control pages – I just need the one. I do not want the congestion of several pages because I can adapt all the commands I need on a single page. But this is not the only problem. I also find that when I now try to slip out of the control center, I eventually make the pages of the control center scroll, and therefore I am stuck … and bored.

As lucky, there is an easy way to get the control center to look like it was in the past, with a single page.

In the control center, which you can access by sliding up from the right to the top of your screen, sweep up to access the additional pages and press your finger on any empty part of the page. This will highlight the control – Press the deletion control button ( -) at the top left to get rid of the command and the page.

Do this for all other additional control center pages you have, until you only have the main control center.

Now when you try to slip from the control center, you will no longer be stuck in other pages. Instead, you can easily go out as before.
