Man reports being stabbed during attempt robbery on CTA train

A 37-year-old man was stabbed overnight during an attempted robbery on a CTA train in the Austin neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Officers responded to a call around 2:30 a.m. in the 300 block of North Central Avenue where a man told them he was on a CTA train when he was approached by someone with a sharp object who demanded his property, police said. The CTA Green Line is located in the 300 block of North Central.
A struggle ensued and the victim suffered a laceration to his forearm and was taken to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park where he was found to be in good condition, police said.
No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
