Eyewitness video appears to show the incident in which a man was shot and killed by federal law enforcement officers in Minneapolis. At a news conference, Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said the person shot was believed to be a 37-year-old man who lived in Minneapolis and was a U.S. citizen. In a statement, Deputy Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said the shooting occurred “while … agents were conducting a targeted operation in Minneapolis” against a person they believed was in the country illegally and wanted for assault. McLaughlin’s statement said “an individual approached U.S. Border Patrol agents with a 9mm semi-automatic handgun” and “agents attempted to disarm him.” The press release accuses the shot man of having “resisted”
