A confrontation broke out on Thursday between the demonstrators and the federal officials carrying out a raid in a farm in southern California, the authorities throwing cartridges which sprayed what looked like smoke in the air to disperse the crowd.

Border patrol vehicles and American customs and border protection blocked the road in a largely agricultural area of Camillo bordered by fields and greenhouses. There were military-style vehicles and a flying helicopter over the head.
Television images showed dozens of demonstrators gathered on a road between the fields where uniform officers stood in front of them. In other images, white and green smoke can be considered demonstrators withdraw. Other images have shown that demonstrators were crying on agents with camouflage equipment, helmets and gas masks. It was not clear why the authorities threw the cans or if they released chemicals like tear gas.
Another image of Ktla showed that people were sitting against a wall, hands tied in front of them; It was not clear if they were workers or demonstrators. A spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Security said that he was performing a mandate in a marijuana establishment.

It is legal to cultivate and sell cannabis in California with an appropriate license. State files show that the company has several active licenses to cultivate cannabis.

The company also has a growth permit in the county of Ventura and, from last year, used half of the space for cannabis while half was dedicated to tomatoes and cucumbers, reported the Star of the county of Ventura.
Judith Ramos said that she had received a call Thursday morning from her father, who worked in the tomato fields.
“He said immigration was outside his work, and if something was about everything,” said Ramos, his cute voice.
The 22 -year -old certified assistant nurse said she had two young brothers and sisters.
Ramos went to the farm and saw a bus from withdrawn. She protested alongside others when agents sprayed the deterrence.
“They didn’t want us to get closer and they started to shoot,” said Ramos. “I got in my eyes. I had to put milk on my face.”
Ramos said that she did not know where her father was and had no contact with him for more than an hour. Her truck is still on the site, she said.
We did not immediately know which agencies participated in the raid.

The incident comes as federal immigration law enforcement agents increased arrests in Southern California, heading for car washes, farms and parking lots of Home Depot to take people in detention while invoking general fear among immigrant communities.
The Trump administration asked the National Guard to protect themselves from federal immigration agents carrying out the raids, and this week, he sent a large caravan with rifles and horses in a park in Los Angeles.
Andrew Dowd, spokesperson for the Ventura County fire service, said they were sent around 12:15 to the region on Thursday to provide emergency medical aid. The crews took three people to neighboring hospitals, he said, and the incident is underway.
Dowd said he had no information on the types of injuries or the medical emergencies suffered, and that he had no details on the people sent to hospitals. He said he had no information on what the police were doing there.
