Get TurboTax Deluxe for 44 percent off before tax season

As spring approaches, it’s time to start thinking about how you’re going to file your taxes. Unfortunately, with the recent demise of Direct File, there is no free government-provided alternative to TurboTax in 2026, and you will have to turn to other federal programs, including IRS Free File, to file your documents. If you don’t qualify for the free file, you’ll probably have to shell out money for Intuit software. And while we hate to suggest you give money to a company that has spent decades lobbying to ensure the U.S. tax system remains a nightmare, we can at least save you some money if TurboTax is your only option.

As tax season approaches, Amazon has discounted the Deluxe Desktop Edition of TurboTax by 44%.
Right now, Amazon has discounted the TurboTax Deluxe Desktop Edition by 44%. This gets you $35 off software that normally costs $80, which you can use to file both your state and federal taxes. For most Americans, this should cover their needs.
However, if you’re self-employed, you’ll need to purchase the more expensive Business version of TurboTax, which is currently 42% off, or $54 off. One last thing to note: you’ll need a PC with Windows 11 or macOS Sonoma to run the software, so an older machine unfortunately won’t do the trick.
