Noyz Mylk de Parfum Is the Layering Fragrance I Never Knew I Needed

I always put perfume on in the morning and don’t feel like myself without it. Few things make me happier than finding a new scent I’m obsessed with—or better yet, getting a fragrance inquiry from a stranger. (No gate-keeping here, BTW. Hit me with a “You smell so good” and I’ll tell you all my secrets before I even know your name.)
To me, fragrance is one of the most personal and expressive corners of beauty. All my people know that I’m a diehard vanilla girl (but not the sticky sweet kind), while a random whiff of my mom’s or best friend’s signature scent instantly makes me feel close to them.
I love the creativity element of layering my favorite scents and unlocking a delicious custom combo and am always giving recommendations. But since fragrance preferences are borderline sacred, I’ve never found a perfume product I could confidently share with everyone I know—until now.
Noyz Mylk de Parfum—a new innovation from the LA-based fragrance house—is truly unlike anything I’ve ever tried. It’s high praise from a perfume-obsessed beauty writer, but give me a product that’s a treat to apply, smells universally amazing, and makes even my most finicky perfumes last all day, and I won’t stop talking about it.
Noyz describes its newest launch as “a first-of-its-kind, pour-on fine fragrance milk.” It comes in a luxe-feeling glass bottle with a stopper for controlled release. In terms of dispensing and application, I’d compare it to a milky toner like Rhode’s Glazing Milk—but even easier to control, since the consistency is richer and less runny.
To start, I tap two to three drops of Mylk onto the inside of my wrist. (It’s concentrated, so a little goes a long way.) The first time I used the product, I was amazed that it didn’t spill over my arm or run down my sleeve: It acts and feels like a silky liquid milk, but hardly budges unless you’re intentionally moving it around. From there, I rub my inner wrists together and use them to press the product onto my neck, collarbones, and anywhere else I want a base fragrance. It melts into my skin almost instantly and doesn’t leave behind any sticky feeling.
I’ve tried solids, concentrates, and mists—but as far as fragrance goes, Mylk is in a league of its own. Not only do I catch delightful waves of it all day long, but it also amplifies my other favorites when used as a base. Plus, as someone who’s constantly wondering if I’ve gone nose-blind, or my perfume wore off in an hour, I can wholeheartedly attest to Mylk’s 12-hour-wear claim: When I apply after a morning shower, I can still smell it when I climb into bed.
Currently, Mylk is available in three best-selling Noyz fragrances: Only Human (a warm, second-skin gourmand), Unmute (a complex-yet-sweet vanilla) and Detour (a crisp, grounded floral). As a vanilla perfume devotee, I’m surprised to report that I’ve been loving my Detour Mylk the most. I find that it reads more clean and cozy than heady floral. I love it on its own, but I also layer it with my Only Human Eau de Parfum to warm it up for winter, and combine it with my go-to nighttime fragrances to make them fresh enough for the office.
