Pool cleaners seen in Nancy Guthrie’s yard amid desperate search

Pool cleaners were reportedly accompanied by authorities while working in Nancy Guthrie’s yard on Friday, amid the desperate search for the 84-year-old woman, who was kidnapped from her Tucson home nearly two weeks ago.
Drone footage shared online by MS Now reporter Alex Tabet shows one man dragging a net across the shallow end of the pool, and another walking the perimeter before taking over with the net.
“In a strange development, pool cleaners are in Nancy Guthrie’s backyard, cleaning her pool,” Tabet captioned the 81-second clip.
At least one member of the sheriff’s department was also present, according to Fox News. It’s unclear why the pool cleaners were at the scene or what they were looking for.
Guthrie, the mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie, was last seen at her home on the evening of Jan. 31 and was reported missing the next day. Authorities are treating his disappearance as a suspected kidnapping.
Earlier this week, the FBI released photos and videos from Guthrie’s doorbell camera, which show an armed, masked man outside his home appearing to tamper with the camera.
On Friday, TMZ released footage from a Ring camera allegedly recorded about 6.5 miles from Guthrie’s home in the early hours of January 23. The man in this video and the suspect in the FBI footage appear to have a goatee.
The man seen outside Guthrie’s home is believed to be between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, according to the FBI office in Phoenix. Authorities said he was carrying a 25-liter Ozark Trail Hiker backpack.
The FBI is currently offering up to $100,000 for information leading to Guthrie’s recovery or the arrest and conviction of her captor.
