Watch: Jake Knapp, Sam Burns eagle opening holes at Pebble Beach, Burns takes lead

Talk about getting started quickly.
Jake Knapp and Sam Burns were both squarely in the race at Pebble Beach heading into Saturday’s third round of play at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Knapp, who opened the day T-8 at 11 under, found himself in the first cut of rough on the first hole with 130 yards at bat. He caught the ball cleanly and put some secondary magic on it that dropped it right into the cup, pushing it to 13 under.
Not to be outdone, a few minutes later Sam Burns took a similar shot from 156 yards and did the exact same thing.
With his eagle, Burns took the solo lead at 16 under, although Akshay Bhatia fired even shortly after.

The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am uses two golf courses on the Monterey Peninsula: Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill. All golfers played a round each on Thursday and Friday before everyone moved to Pebble for the weekend.
